San Francisco hop-on hop-off: schedules, routes & operating hours

Final departures are usually in the early evening; if you miss the last bus you may need to use Muni, BART, taxis or rideshares to finish your journey.

Morning and late afternoon provide softer light and often lighter traffic—great for photos at the Golden Gate or quieter walks around the Presidio.

Reserve in advance during summer, holiday weekends, and major events (e.g., Fleet Week or Pride) to secure your preferred times and combos.

City transit passes (Muni/BART) and museum cards do not typically include private hop‑on hop‑off buses—verify inclusions before assuming coverage.
